JPEC is the unique ALSTOM Licensing air-cooled turbo-generator manufacturer in Asia, JPEC introduced the technologies for designing and manufacturing 6～300MW air-cooled turbo-generators to China from ALSTOM (previous ABB Power Generation Ltd.) in the form of technical know-how license.
The techniques used in JPEC are improved simutaneously with ALSTOM, that is, if generators of the same type are manufactured at the same time, the standards、drawings and data are of the same versions. Besides, JPEC also share new technologies with ALSTOM during the valid period of the technical know-how license. In order to guarantee the quality of generators, the key parts of generator (such as the rotor, the retaining ring forging, insulation materials etc.) are all imported from the same suppliers as ALSTOM.
In 2018, JPEC and the US GE renewed the technical cooperation agreement.
